a rad r.e.c.a.p. of february
reading my bible again after a year, the color i cannot quit, a question from counseling that has me stumped, and more
february was a wild doozy of a month, and i felt out of whack for most of it (spending nearly half of the days staying at other peoples’ houses dogsitting threw me off my routines!). i have a lot of thoughts swirling around my noggin, so buckle up and dive on in, friends!
R: reading
february felt like a reading SLUMP even though, sure, i read 11 books (6 of them were novellas!). i didn’t have FUN reading this month. i wasn’t MOTIVATED to read. i didn’t find myself picking up my books in my down time. to me, those are signs of a slump! i felt like when i did read, it was because i SHOULD or because i felt like i had to (aka for book club or because a book was overdue at the library) instead of because i genuinely WANTED to.
that’s not how i want my reading life to feel!
i’m paying attention and making some shifts and it’s already feeling more fun.
