five rad finds // from march
it’s been so long since i’ve shared some rad finds?! today's edition has gems (literally), good things for march, a springy album, and more
it’s been so long since i’ve shared some rad finds?! still trying to find my groove with sharing here and youtube and social media and working full time in social etc… i know i need to stop over-explaining and apologizing and just SHARE but i get in my head!!! i want this to be Worth It to subscribe to! i am an eldest daughter/enneagram 1/former gifted kid who WANTS TO BE PERFECT damnit!!!
i digress…
this is a short and sweet email with a few fun things i’ve enjoyed lately, and i’d love to hear a rad find from your own life if you want to drop a comment below.
here are this month’s finds:
find #1: gems with miles and julian
this is an absolute DELIGHT. you probably recognize miles from tiktok where he’s stolen the show in julian’s recess therapy clips — he SHINES in this new podcast (the only one hosted by a 7 year old and a 25 year old!). come for the adorable quips and wise-beyond-his-years curiosity, stay for the conversation with lucy dacus (ep. 2). it’s so good and the dose of joy i need these days.
find #2: 20 women share why they’re child-free
this made me feel so seen and understood, and that’s a giiiiift. truly, being 32 and single and child-free is NOT what i thought my life would look like, but it’s my reality, and i’m so grateful for the ways other people are speaking about their own realities and helping me feel less alone.
find #3: good things: march
i’d also add: spotting the first bright yellow daffodils. the sound of birdsong. the specific shade of green when leaves first pop out on all the trees. a handful of jellybeans.
find #4: ROLE MODEL
tiktok introduced me to this artist, and this album is so fun! feels like upbeat, happy spring/summer vibes, and i’ve had it on repeat lately.
find #5: trans rights readathon
happening now, this readathon has three main goals: uplift, amplify, and support. it runs march 21-31st (which is trans day of visibility!) and i’m of course joining in! y’all know i say this all the time, but it matters SO MUCH that we read queer books, support queer authors, and champion queer creators. it’s truly life-saving. these books are far too often under threat (not to even get into how scary it is to be a trans or nonbinary person in america right now) and reading them is one small BUT significant way we can push back against book bans and make a difference.
here’s what’s on my tbr:
