why i love it:

needlepoint was not at ALL on my radar until really very recently — my grandma did a lot of cross stitching and i think i assumed they were the same? but they aren’t! and the more i saw people i follow doing needlepoint, the more intrigued i got. fiber arts and i haven’t historically gotten along, but after having success with loom knitting last fall/winter (don’t worry, we’ll get back to that in a future edition of hobby hopper!), i felt more ready to give needlepoint a whirl. (they’re not at all similar, it’s just how my brain works.)
